RaidMax Ninja 918 ATX Gaming Case - Page 2 of 6 |
First Impression:
I personally have reviewed the RaidMax Cobra and Samurai case and based on the quality of the finish of both of those cases I had high expectation for the fit and finish of the Ninja 918. As I had hoped the Ninja 918 had the same high quality finish I have come to expect from RaidMax. The Ninja 918 comes in your choice of Black or Silver and as you have seen in previous pictures our review sample came in Silver as per our request. The finish is flawless and the quality is equal to that of a high end automotive paint job.
The styling cues of the Ninja 918 are an interesting blend of the simple and the wild. Looking at the case dead on from the front it appears very simple but stylish with the V shaped blue power LED and tinted wrap around front lens and the door covering the external drive bays.
However looking at the Ninja 918 from the side you get the wild look with its unusually shaped side window, etched grid design in the plexi glass window, fancy cut fan grill over the blue LED fan, and last but not least the side panel air ducts.
The right side of the case shares the same wrap around smoked plexi glass lens and the air ducts.
Behind the door on the front bezel we find the 5 external 5.25” drive bays, the two external 3.5” drive bays plus the power and reset buttons. At the very bottom of the front bezel behind a small hinged door we find the two audio ports and two USB 2.0 ports.
Finally the view from the rear shows a pretty standard layout with the power supply, fan grill, I/O panel and AGP/PCI expansion slots.
All in all the Ninja 918 is a very nice looking case that will catch your eye without being over done or gaudy.
