Evercool F117 Nighthawk VGA Cooler - Page 4 of 4 |
Testing (continued):
The Nighthawk cooler did fairly well with controlling the temperature. As you can see, the F117 did drop the temperature down a few degrees Celsius from a standard fan unit. More importantly, during the load process it dissipated enough heat to keep the temps down to 44 degrees Celsius. This is where the Evercool F117 Nighthawk performed best... under normal operating conditions including gaming and everyday video graphic stresses. But for the sake of trying we of course overclocked the board to see what we could get out of it. During the CSS testing phase under load conditions, the cooler was less effective and was unable to control the temperatures. It did not outperform the stock cooler when pushed to its limits, however, in all fairness, this was never the intention of the device. Regardless, the F117 did a great job providing excellent cooling power for normal everyday cooling use.
Conclusion:
With an attractive, effective, and sleek designed unit, Evercool has a hit on their hands with the F117 Nighthawk Universal VGA Cooler. The F117 provides an easy to install, quiet and overall efficient product.
The cooling efficiency and quality construction help earn the Evercool VC-F117 Nighthawk VGA cooler a rating of five out of five stars... "Highly Recommended".
