Network Settings:
Allows the administrator to change server’s IP address and setup compatibilities with different networking environments (including Microsoft, Novel, Apple, UNIX). This page also allows the administrator to configure a simple FTP and Web server. Both options were enabled for reviewing purposes.
Network Settings in Detail:
TCP/IP: Obtain your IP address manually or automatically using DHCP, BOOTP, and RARP.
Microsoft Networking: Works with a Domain or Workgroup (specify if you want to traffic to use TCP/IP, NetBEUI, or both).
Apple & Unix Networking Support: Support for Apple and Unix network shares.
FTP:Not many options compared to a dedicated FTP Server, but runs well. User and folder permissions are granted in the Security portion of the web based administration tool.
Web Server (part 1): Customize and setup your own Web Server accessible through the local network (and if you want the internet). You can modify the Root web folder along with provide links that pull data straight from the Snap Server.
Web Server (part 2): Further customization (options for allowing administration from the index.html page of the Snap Server. (or options permit you to totally build your own index.html file and use that instead).
Web Server (part 3):Add some security to your web pages by incorporating SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). This will force all traffic to HTTPS access.
