Kanguru Quicksilver:

Kanguru Solutions is a "manufacturer and marketer of high tech computer hardware peripherals" that has called Massachusetts home since its inception in 1992. Their product line up consists of a variety of internal and external hard drives, flash drives, optical drives, and other related accessories. The QuickSilver drive is one of the newest offerings from Kanguru, and comes in a variety of sizes, capacities, and interfaces. Up for review is the 20GB USB 2.0 variety of the 2.5" QuickSilver...


The Kanguru Quicksilver uses a 2.5” laptop hard drive running at 4200 rpm and is quoted to have a throughput rating of 13 MB/s, and a seek time of 12ms. The unit measures 133mm long by 76 mm wide by 22mm, and weighs in at 298g.

The Quicksilver drive was supplied in OEM packaging without detailed information about the product, but it did include a neoprene zippered pouch, driver CD, and a USB cable.

While this drive wasn’t the largest or heaviest in the test (it certainly feels like it), this is one solid drive enclosure.
