Every computer requires power. Any power supply will provide your computer power, but whether or not that power is stable, clean, and reliable is what every user should be concerned with. Census PC has supplied me with a new power supply by Rexus, the Rexus SPX500 500W ATX PSU. The power supply says it is "Super Cool & Ultra Quiet". Inspection:

The box the Rexus SPX500 comes in is definitely designed for retail. It provides plenty of information regarding the power supply's advantages, which includes a unique 15cm horizontal cooling fan, which they say helps keep the power supply running 10C - 20C cooler than a conventional power supply! They also boast that it is super quiet at a mere 20dBA, and includes additional protection against dust and bugs. In addition to all of that, the Rexus 500w also includes a built in 3 plug power strip. Depending on the power requirements of your box, these might be useful to run additional peripherals.

The power supply arrived in perfect condition, due largely to the form fitted cardboard crate that holds it in place inside the box. There was a good deal of extra room in the box that could allow the power supply to shift in shipment, but the review sample showed no signs of damage. To protect the finish of the power supply, it resides in a plastic bag. Not much extra is included with the power supply. The only accessory included is the usual power cable. I'm sure any DIY user has many of these lying around their room, but this is a necessity if this is your first power supply.
