Conclusion:
What would you do with a graphics card cooler that can cool more than just a graphics card? Well the answer to that is obvious. The cooler definitely outperformed the stock application and well exceeded my expectations. It is quite unfortunate that only one cooler would fit in the SLI application, but even with just one I was pleasantly surprised.
A single Arctic Cooling NV Silencer 6 Rev. 2 was able to cool both GeForce 6600GT PCIe cards, as well as cooling the case, processor, and other chips on the motherboard. Just imagine how cool a system would be if it weren't for a matter of a few millimeters keeping two from being installed in an SLI system.
A search of PriceGrabber found the NV Silencer 6 Rev. 2 going for $25-$30, which can be found at places like Xoxide, SVC, and many others.
Arctic Cooling never claimed that their coolers would fit in a dual video card application, so it makes it difficult for me to take any points away from what is clearly a 5 star performance boost. Even for the SLI application with only one cooler installed it earns a lot of respect. Overall I give the Arctic Cooling NV Silencer 6 rev.2 a solid 5 out of 5 stars... "Highly Recommended".
