Zalman Fatal1ty FS-C77 CPU Cooler
December 01, 2005

Fatal1ty has been one of the top gamers in the world since 1999, which happens to be the same year that Zalman was founded. Zalman and Fatal1ty are both top performers in their field.

Zalman is known for manufacturing top quality computer components. Their product line-up includes CPU, system, and video cooling products, power supplies, fan controllers, and audio components. Zalman and Fatal1ty have teamed up to promote a new line of coolers. Taking their respective history into account, we can expect these coolers to be top performers. Let's take a look and see if the new Fatal1ty FS-C77 CPU Cooler has what it takes to defeat the competition!

Specifications (taken from the Zalman website):

• Dimensions: 136(L) x 136(W) x 67(H)mm

1. Intel Pentium 4 (Socket 775/478), AMD Sempron / AMD64 (Socket 754/939/940) compatible design for broad compatibility.
2. 120mm fan (with red LEDs) mounted in the heatsink for maximum cooling efficiency.
3. Wide reach of air flow simultaneously cools the VGA card, Northbridge, FET, and RAM.
4. Pure Copper base material ensures excellent heat dissipation.

Packaging:

The Zalman Fatal1ty FS-C77 CPU Cooler comes packaged for retail in a heavy duty cardboard box. The front of the box gives you a good view of the CPU cooler, while the back provides much more detail on exactly what the cooler is capable of. There is also a little background on who Fatal1ty is.

Opening the box, you find the cooler is also protected in another heavy-duty package, this time it's in a plastic snap pack. This packaging would be more than sufficient for a retail setting. Turning the snap pack over, you can see the accessories are separated from the cooler. The way the snap pack is designed, it makes me wonder if it's a generic pack (that's not a bad thing though).
