The Basics (continued):
In the below left image we have the front of the UPS, and in the below right image we have the right side featuring a cooling fan.
In the image below we have the back of the UPS.
In the below left image we have a shot of the six electrical outlets, and in the below right image we have the rear panel featuring RJ11/45 jacks, RS-232 port, and the DIP switch.
One thing I noticed is that DIP switch was set to 120V, not the standard 110V so I switched this before plugging in the unit.
The below left image shows the DIP switch set to 120V, and the below right image shows the DIP switch set to 110V.
One of the nice things about this UPS is the ease at getting to and changing the batteries in it:
Here we see the UPS with its front cover off to expose the battery area.
With a couple of screws removed the batteries become accessible. Simply pull out the batteries and they are ready to be replaced.
Installation and Operation:
Now that it's all set up, here is what it looks like in a standard 19" rack.
Here we see what it looks like compared to a Tripp Lite UPS. This unit has a much more informative panel display. You can also see I chose to use 4 bolts on each side, after all the unit does weigh over 56 lbs.
