Packaging and Accessories:
The Challenger Pro comes in a black box with silver and red highlights. The front of the box presents a view of the keyboard with the fan installed, and lists a few of the features. The back of the box has a short list of features in multiple languages. The Tt eSports Challenger Pro would look right at home on the shelf of any electronics store, as it has everything needed to get a shopper's attention (short of flashing lights and an air horn).
The lid of the box opens to reveal very detailed information on the keyboard features and software. The pictures of the software detail how easy it is to use and set up macros.
When the box is opened, you might expect to see the keyboard; instead you are greeted with a bag that is worth keeping as a nice place to store the keyboard while in transit. Below the keyboard are a few manuals, the software, and two bags of accessories.
Thermaltake always ensures everything necessary to enjoy their products is included. The Challenger Pro is no different, as not only do they include a carry bag, but they also include two bags for the accessories. In the first bag, Thermaltake stored the USB power cable (which is really nice with a cloth sheath), and the miniature fan. The second bag included extra keys, and a simple key puller tool.
The fan is rated at 6,000 RPM with a noise level of 21.7dB. The fan is not very powerful (pushing only 2.7CFM), which is the biggest disappointment. It is close to 3.5" from the "home row" and can barely be felt, making it fairly useless. A more powerful fan would be very helpful and might make this feature something to get excited about.
