Packaging and Accessories:
The
NZXT Sentry LXE ships in a very attractive retail box in the same fashion as NZXT's other high end products. The front of the package has a large image of the fan controller and several small icons indicative of the main features of the device. Around the back, and in seven different languages, are more of the features and a list of specifications.
Cracking the lid reveals that NZXT has nestled the Sentry LXE fan controller not only in an anti-static bag, but also in high-density foam blocks to ensure the product arrives in perfect condition - exactly the same type used in their high-end case packaging.
NZXT has included a bag of accessories, which consists of (from left to right) the controller interface cable, battery for the temperature control board, tape for attaching the thermal sensors, and temperature control board mounting screws.
Also included is a straight forward, but very helpful multilingual user's manual. Because of the numerous wires and board connections involved, users may want to give it a quick look through before installation.
The last "accessory" is the temperature control board. While the board will take up one expansion slot in your case, it is slot independent as it needs no power and won't plug into any slot from your motherboard. The board is actually powered by a standard 4-pin Molex connector.
