Testing (continued):
Unigene Heaven:
The Heaven Benchmark is a DirectX 11 benchmark that is the maker's interpretation of what heaven would look like. It is a series of floating land masses with old school steam-punk looking buildings everywhere. This is a benchmark that can really put a hurting on even the strongest video cards. We ran the Heaven 2.5 benchmark with VSync disabled and with 8x AA and 16x AF enabled to check out system performance. We ran the benchmark at 1920x1080 and 1280x1024. We also ran the extreme tessellation mode on this benchmark.
The Heaven benchmark is tough on even the most hardcore cards on the market today, so to see that the frame rates on our testing were a bit low was no surprise, even dropping to single digits at 1920x1080. But hey, what did you expect with these settings? If you really think about it, with all of that extreme tessellation going on, I think it did a rather good job.
