Testing (continued):

PassMark Performance Test v7.0 (continued):

Taking a look at PassMark Performance Test's "Memory Allocate Small Block" component, we see a bit more of a gap between the Patriot Memory kit and the Crucial kit while at their stock speeds.

"Memory Write" speeds are compared in the next chart, and the trend continues. The Patriot Memory kit still holds a slight lead on the Crucial kit in this test.

The "Memory - Large RAM" component of the test is up next, and here we see the Patriot Memory kit beat the Crucial kit by 91.4 MB/s, or roughly 2.7%.

The final portion of Performance Test's memory suite to review is the composite Memory Mark score. All things considered, the Patriot Memory kit at 1800MHz beats the Crucial kit by 35.8 points, or roughly 2.3%. Not much of a margin, and to me it is clear that the extra speed is offset by the looser timings.
