Testing (continued):
ATTO Disk Benchmark v2.41:
ATTO Disk Benchmark is a standard benchmark that tests read and write speeds which are presented in MB/s, and a higher score is better. While ATTO has a wide range of results, we will look at the results of the 64KB and 8MB read and write tests.
During the 64KB read test, the Vertex 4 was slightly slower than the Intel 520, but only by 18MB/s.
Things went back to normal for the 64KB write test, and the Vertex 4 took the lead by 21MB/s.
For the 8MB read score, the OCZ Vertex 4 was again in the lead with 558MB/s compared to the Intel 520's 554MB/s. Not a big enough difference to really be concerned about.
This is the first time that the Vertex 4 was not the drive when it came to write speeds. It came in 1MB/s slower than the Intel 520, but at these speeds 1MB/s doesn't mean much.
