Testing (continued):
Sisoftware Sandra Professional 2009.SP3:
Sisoft Sandra's memory related benchmarks were run next, and here we have values for Latency (in nanoseconds), a unitless Speed Factor, Float (in GB/s), Integer (in GB/s), and Aggregate Memory Performance (in GB/s). Lower values are better for latency and Speed Factor, while higher values are better for everything else. While the bandwidth values are rather close at stock speeds, what we see is that the OCZ Technology kit offers a much better Speed Factor, and the latency is once again a strong point (this time just under 18% better than the G.Skill kit).
PassMark Performance Test v7.0:
PassMark Performance Test v7.0 was executed next. Only the memory portion of this suite of tests was used, and the chart below shows results for Large RAM (OP/s), Write (MB/s), Read Uncached (MB/s), Read Cached (MB/s), Allocate Small Block (MB/s), and Memory Mark (unitless).
Higher numbers are better for all results, and here we see that at 1600MHz the result are extremely close with the G.Skill kit actually performing better in 3 of the 6 tests!
