This review is going to take a quick look at a handy little flash drive from Kingston, the 32GB DataTraveler microDuo 3.0. What makes this flash drive interesting is that it has a typical USB 3.0 connector on one side of the housing, while a microUSB connector is found on the other side. You can now transfer data to/from your USB OTG capable device (Android phone/tablet) and your computer, making it a great way to backup your mobile device or to sync files with your PC.

The promotional image above shows the microDuo 3.0 with its protective cap flipped up to show both the USB 3.0 and the microUSB connectors. Before taking a closer look at the unit on hand, lets cover some of the published information on the device, as taken from the product page on the Kingston website...

Of interest in the list above is that while the published read speeds are decent, the write speed is slow for a USB 3.0 device. I imagine the bulk of the writes will be from a mobile device to the flash drive, and most of the reads will be from the flash drive to a computer, but it would still be appreciated to see these speeds register higher.

Packaging and Accessories:

The packaging for the 32GB DataTraveler microDuo 3.0 is very simple. The hang card shown below gives you a fair amount of detail on the product, as well as an unobstructed view of the drive itself. No accessories are included, but none should be needed.
