Conclusion:
After having spent several weeks with the
Cooler Master HAF 932 AMD limited edition case, I can honestly say that this is a great case. The style is first-class, the red front face plate is gorgeous, and the side panel window with AMD dragon graphic is really cool. The tool-less design is very well thought out, and the included 8-pin power cable extension and caster wheels are a very pleasant surprise. And finally, the little added touches such as the black cover stickers for the optical drives and the inclusion of zip ties just prove that Cooler Master is thinking like a consumer and trying to exceed their expectations in order to tie together this "Limited Edition" package.
Now for the critical part - what would I change? First, This chassis is heavy. At 29.1 lbs, it's not a small form factor LAN case by any stretch of the imagination. Add in your system components, a couple of hard drives, and a video card (or two) and this case is downright back breaking. Second, while the window with the graphic is cool, it's really hard to see once all the components go in to the case. My suggestion would be to make the window frosted so the graphic pops. Then with the addition of some case lighting, you'd have something pretty special. Third, the placement of the power and reset buttons could use some attention. On at least two separate occasions one of my cats has jumped on top of the case and completely shut me down in the middle of a gaming session. This would not be possible if the buttons were located on the front. It was quickly rectified by placing a textbook on top of the unit, but something to think of before you get into a heated boss battle. Finally, and this one is really nit picky, is the case badge. I realize this is an AMD themed case, but why stick a Phenom II x4 logo on it. I would have much preferred a regular AMD badge, or better yet include the Cooler Master badge that is used on the other 932 series cases so if you're like me, your committing the most heinous of crimes - an Intel rig in an AMD case.
The Cooler Master HAF 932 AMD limited edition case can be yours for around $150-$170, with
Newegg.com currently selling it for $149.99 and
Buy.com offering it for $169.99 (both with free shipping).
All things said and done, this is one to put right up at top of your build list. The HAF 932 AMD limited edition case has plenty of room for anything you could ever want to throw in a chassis. The red color is fabulous and not so run-of-the-mill, and the build quality will ensure it lasts for many years. With all that said, the Cooler Master HAF 932 AMD limited edition case earns the Bigbruin.com "Highly Recommended" award, and a big thumbs up!
