The BOX comes in a plain brown box with a sleeve over it which not only keeps the top on but is the only part that describes the product inside. The top simply has a picture of the device, lists the name, and states it is the “Security of Things.” The back is still understated, forgoing a bunch of technical specs for a description of the product and mentioning that an app is all you need to control it.
Removing the sleeve and lifting the lid reveals the BOX on one side and the manual with power adapter and USB cable beneath. Tucked neatly below the BOX you will find your network cable. Overall the package includes everything you need to get this up and running on your network in minutes.
The Basics:
The BOX itself is quite small and very light, it actually feels like it could be empty... like a prop.
It is a glossy white box with the Bitdefender B logo etched in the top. Around the back are the connections. Here you will find a micro-USB port for power and (2) 10/100 Ethernet ports. One port is for LAN the other is a WAN port. Also located on the back is a reset switch.
At the front of the device on the bottom there is a small notch. Nested in there is a LED status light. When all is good the light will illuminate blue, red when in recovery, flashing white when updating firmware and rapidly flashing red if there is a fault.
