Testing:

For testing purposes we will look at the results from two benchmarks, Crystal Disk Mark and ATTO DISK Benchmark to see how the Backup Plus Hub compares to a few other USB 3.0 drives on hand.

CrystalDiskMark 5.1.2 x64:

CrystalDiskMark provides results that detail the drive's read and write performance in units of measure of MB/s (higher values are better). The first graph shows the sequential read results, where we see that the Backup Plus Hub is the fastest drive of the group, and it isn't even really that close.



Next up we have the sequential write results, and again the Backup Plus Hub is the fastest drive on hand.



Sequential read performance for the Backup Plus Hub was very impressive, but the random read performance is more in line with the other drives. The Backup Plus Hub still comes out on top in 4K read testing, but it was not a blow out this time.



Finally we have 4K write testing, where the Backup Plus Hub again comes out on top by a large margin.
