Testing:
In order to test the AT3IONT-I Deluxe, we grabbed another Mini ITX board we looked at a while back, The
Intel D510MO. Both motherboard were loaded with fresh installs and their respective drivers and the appropriate Windows Updates applied. The individual configurations for each board are listed below:
ASUS AT3IONT-I Deluxe:
»
Kingston HyperX 4GB (2x2GB) 1600MHz DDR3 Memory Kit
» Western Digital WD2500BEVT 250GB 5400 rpm 8MB cache 2.5" SATA II disk drive
Intel D510MO:
» CORSAIR 2x1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 Memory Kit
» Western Digital WD2500BEVT 250GB 5400 rpm 8MB cache 2.5" SATA II disk drive
» Bestec 250Watt ATX power supply (HP OEM)
SiSoft Sandra Professional:
Sisoftware offers one of the more popular testing suites with their Sandra series. Sandra Engineer Standard 2010.7.16.49 was used to test a variety of system components, and the results are shown in the next four screenshots. The first two charts below are the Processor Arithmetic and Processor Multimedia Aggregate scores. The Intel board gets the win here, most likely due to the slightly faster clock speed and slightly faster RAM. Of course, having both cores on the same die doesn't hurt either.
The next chart deals with Multi-Core Interconnect Bandwidth. This, much like it sounds, tests the bandwidth between the CPU cores. As you probably guessed, the ASUS board with its' older CPU gets beat by the newer design of the D510MO.
The last test in the Sandra suite is the Processor ALU Power Proficiency. Not overly surprising, we have identical scores.
