The Basics (continued):
The next image shows an angled view of the Ensemble, that reveals that the bulk of the unit's surfaces are unmarked and unlabeled. On the back surface next to the 80mm exhaust fan is where a standard 120VAC power connection and power switch are found.
The below left image shows the rather typical data label that lists a bunch of manufacturing certifications, as well confirming all of the specifications we saw on the first page of the review.
The above right image shows an interesting label placed next to the 135mm intake fan which describes its interesting performance characteristics. As long as the power supply is still plugged in to receive AC power, the fan may continue to run after the system has been turned off. A thermal sensor in the unit will keep the fan spinning until the temperature drops below 50 degrees Celsius in order to provide "advanced cooling and extended hardware/component lifetime".
Internal Inspection:
The unit is held shut by four small screws, and removing them to get inside does not force you to rip any sticker that indicates that the warranty will be voided. Once inside the first thing I noticed was that it is packed tightly with components and cables. The second thing I noticed is that the 135mm fan cable is so short that it had to be disconnected to even get it to open enough to take a picture. Nothing too exciting in here, but everything is neat, orderly, and continues to help the impression I have that this is a high quality unit.
Accessories:
The unit comes with a box full of some typical, and some not-so-typical, accessories. The image below shows everything you will receive, including; an AC power cord, two 4-pin power "Y" adapters, a 4-pin power to SATA power adapter, two 8-pin PCI Express to 6-pin PCI Express power adapters, ten velcro straps for cable management, and four mounting screws.
Not shown is a printed manual that provides details on the unit's features and specifications, as well as some performance data and some basic installation instructions.
