Call of Juarez:
Call of Juarez is yet another 3D game to offer a benchmark for analyzing DirectX 10 performance. The results are provided in terms of minimum, maximum, and average frame rate values, and higher is better for each.
Power Consumption:
Power consumption was of more interest to me than the 3D gaming tests, as I don't think anyone will be looking for this card to be the focal point of their gaming rig. What they may be interested in is creating a low noise, low heat, low power consuming system that can provide the necessary muscle to drive their HTPC.
In this test a Seasonic Power Angel power monitoring device was used to monitor the AC wattage drawn by the three cards. Since all other hardware remained the same, any change in this value would be the result of the graphics card's demands. Idle conditions were established by letting the system sit at the Windows desktop until a stable reading was achieved, and for load testing the Devil May Cry benchmark was executed in DirectX 9 mode.
What we see is that the HD4670 idles a bit below the other cards, but when it really starts working that far less energy is being used. While the other two cards see about a 75% increase from idle to load, the Ultimate HD4670 see only a 46% increase.
