The Basics (continued):
Taking a more detailed look at the specifications label on this unit shows that the 12V rails are capable of supplying 1008 Watts at 84 Amps! Along with the 200 Watts provided on the 3.3V and 5V lines combined, this baby puts up to a whopping maximum of 1200 Watts!
Once I was done gawking at the power data, it was time to have a look at build construction and the overall look.
There is only one fan in this power supply, a large intake on the bottom with no LEDs or anything outrageous, just a plain black fan.
The back of the unit has an open honeycomb mesh for good air flow, and also features the AC power connection, a large power switch, and a rail fusion switch. This unique item allows you to bind the 12V rails together or separate them, although I would recommend leaving them bound.
The inside face of the unit has all the ports for the modular cables that are included with the unit. This makes for a very clean install in any situation, as you will only have what you need plugged in, no extra cables to hide or work with.
