Logitech G15 Revision 2 Gaming Keyboard
|
Software:
Software for the G15 keyboard is available on the included CD, as well as from the Logitech website. Checking for updates online is a good idea, not only because the drivers and applications will be the most current, but also because new G-key profiles for some of the top 3D games are made available.
The screenshot below shows the main page of the Logitech G-Series Keyboard Profiler. Here you can view your existing G-key configurations, as well as set up new profiles. For some this may be an easier approach than using the MR key on the fly, as having some sort of confirmation on screen is rather useful.
The next set of screenshots are from the Logitech GamePanel Manager. Here is where you control all aspects of the applications running on the LCD screen. In the image below we see the Programs tab, which reveals all of the installed programs and which are active. The ones shown are what comes installed by default, but you can add others, and eliminate any default applications you could do without.
The next image shows the Logitech G15 tab which allows for control over how you switch between applications, as well as providing control over some basic display characteristics (brightness and contrast).
The final screenshot in this section shows the Global Settings tab. As the name may imply, this is where you configure the basic options related to things like the interface's appearance and taskbar presence.
In addition to the official software available from Logitech, third party development has lead to all sorts of interesting LCD panel uses. G15Mods.com and G15 Forums are just two places worth checking out. And for those comfortable with some custom coding, you can even develop your own applications for use with the G15 thanks to resources available at sites like these.
