Packaging:
The G15 Revision 2 arrived in the colorful packaging shown below. There are several images and a good deal of information provided, which together should tell you just about everything you might want to know about the basics of this keyboard.
Inside the box each item is wrapped in its own plastic bag, and a cardboard insert is used to keep things from moving around too much. For an added level of protection, a thin plastic film is applied to the LCD screen.
The Basics:
The below left image shows everything you receive; the G15 Revision 2 keyboard, a detachable wrist rest, and a small bundle which contains the software CD, installation guide, and warranty information. The below right image shows the keyboard assembled and ready for action. The wrist rest slides on with ease, and two plastic clips hold it in place. While this item may hold your wrists off your desk in a more comfortable position, it is just a hard piece of plastic so it won't be as comfortable as similar looking devices made out of foam or rubber.
The USB cable is also visible in the images above, where it can be seen that it is heavy duty enough to last, as well as being long enough (about seven feet) to reach your computer's case at a reasonable distance. Many keyboards I have used lately come with such a short cable that I wind up having to add extensions or use a hub just to get connected, and my desktop is not all that far from where my case sits.
