Packaging:
The Kingwin Revolution RVT-9225 Heatpipe Direct Touch CPU Cooler is all ready for a retail setting in the packaging shown below. The predominantly purple and black box provides images of the product, a direct look at the actual fan, and information on the key specifications and recommended applications.
Inside the retail box everything is protected by more cardboard, and Kingwin has included a user's manual specific to the installation and operation of the RVT-9225.
The Basics:
The image below takes a look at the fan on the RVT-9225, which is a 92mm unit rated for up to 2800RPM, 54.6CFM, and 35dBA. Most high performance coolers these days use 120mm fans, as they can spin slower and produce less noise while providing excellent cooling air flow.
For vibration and noise reduction purposes the fan is held on with tool-less rubber mounts. This allows a fan to be swapped out quickly without a screw driver, but more importantly it isolates the fan from the cooler, which can greatly reduce noise. Hopefully this extra step helps this 92mm fan from creating too much of a ruckus.
Based on the specifications and design, I am interested to see how the Kingwin RVT-9225 performs in terms of cooling and noise production.
