M-Series ET-CSMESU2-BK Basics:
While the ET-CSTSIU2-BK was designed to allow IDE or SATA drives, the ET-CSMESU2-BK is designed to use SATA only. But like the T-Series, there are other models available which would allow you to use an IDE hard drive.
That is nearly the end of the similarities. The M-Series has a honey comb exterior which is designed to cool your hard drive better than a flat smooth surface. The front is once again made out of plastic, however looking closely at it I noticed a label that says "Open" at the top (more on this later). On the side of the unit near the back of the device is a little bar which will light up when the drive is powered on. The back of the unit looks like most enclosures, where there is a small hard power switch along with a power port. The two available connections on this model are USB 2.0 and eSATA. USB 2.0 is a universal standard on all modern computers, while eSATA is a feature that is just beginning to catch on.
 
Eagle Tech Computers has included all the necessary accessories with this unit, as well. These include an eSATA cable, a USB 2.0 cable, driver CD, user manual, a simple stand, power cable, and a little plastic key.
On the front, near the spot that says "Open", there is a little hole on the top of the device. This is where the hard drive will be installed. To open the device, you need to use a little key that Eagle Tech Computers has included. Simply inserting the key into the hole, allows the front door to pop open.
 
With the door open, slide the drive into the enclosure. Once the drive is fully inserted you can close the door and begin to use it. To remove the drive, simply insert the key and open the door. When the door is opened, it acts as a lever to pop the drive out.
