Devil May Cry:
Devil May Cry is another 3D game that includes a benchmark to test the DirectX 10 performance. The benchmark runs through four scenes from the game and outputs the average frame rate values achieved in each one (higher is better). The results in the chart below were achieved at a resolution of 1280x1024 and with no anti-aliasing. All of the results are quite respectable, but the HD4850 X2 definitely puts up the best numbers across the board.
In the second round of testing, the resolution was increased to 1360x1024 (the highest it would go) and anti-aliasing was set to 8x. What we see in the chart below is that while the two other configurations put up lower scores this time around, the results for the HD4850 X2 actually improve at the higher settings.
