PT Boats - Knights of the Sea:
PT Boats - Knights of the Sea is a 3D game that also happens to include a DirectX 10 benchmark. The benchmark provides results in terms of a minimum, maximum, and average frame rate value, and higher is better for all three. For the first round of testing a resolution of 1280x1024 and no anti-aliasing were used. What we see in the chart below is that at these reduced settings, all of the cards perform about the same.
In the second round of testing on PT Boats, the resolution was increased to 1680x1050, and anti-aliasing was set at 8x. Here we see that the frame rates drop drastically on the Toxic HD4870 and the pair of Toxic HD3870s, and the HD4850 X2 is putting up an average frame rate about three to four times higher.
