The Ultra Products XVS power supply comes in a retail box that provides a sufficient amount of information for the end user to know exactly what they are purchasing. The top of the box provides the same information that is available on the sides of the box. Here you can see the top and one of the sides.
With the box opened, we can see how the power supply is packaged. There is no extra packing material, and the power supply is simply wrapped in a plastic bag. This should be sufficient to keep minor scratches off the power supply, but won't do anything for rough handling during shipment. The modular cables just have a rubber band to keep them together. Despite the minimal packing, the power supply arrived undamaged, so the lack of extra packing was not an issue.
External Examination:
Now to examine the Ultra Products XVS power supply...
In the first picture you can see the top of the power supply. The power supply does not have a mirror finish, but rather a dull black finish. Turning the power supply to one of the sides, you can see the standard sticker detailing the electrical specifications and some other data.
