Jing Ting Force Chipset Cooler
March 07, 2006

Testing:

To test the thermal properties of the Jing Ting Force Chipset Cooler, I installed it on a system with the following components:

» AMD XP 64 3500+ processor
» Gigabyte K8NXP-SLI motherboard
» Thermaltake Tai-Chi Full-Tower Case
» 2 - BFG 6600GT OC SLI graphics card
» 2GB (4x512) Samsung 2700 DDR memory
» 2 - Seagate 80GB SATA HDDs in RAID 0
» 2 - Western Digital 250GB IDE HDD
» NEC DVDRW/CDRW
» Cooler Master Cool Drive 4 (used to take temperatures and fan speed)
» 2 - 120mm LED fan (default fans only)

Idle temperatures were achieved by allowing the system to sit at the Window's desktop with no other applications running. The load temperatures were achieved with the following applications running for several hours:

» Folding@Home
» 3dMark06
» Sisoft Sandra 2005 Burn In Wizard

Here you can see the various temperatures reported by the Cooler Master Cool Drive IV device.

As you can see, the Force Chipset Cooler does a great job at cooling! On the test system, I saw an 8C drop in idle temperatures and a 10C drop in load temperatures!
