The Cables:
The modular cables provided with the
Enermax Liberty power supplies are excellent, and we're going to devote a whole page to checking them out.
The whole collection of cables ships in the nylon pouch pictured below. Each set of cables has its own pocket, and a Velcro closure keeps the whole kit shut when not needed. Speaking of not needed, I do not know why the pouch is necessary, but it did keep the cables organized prior to installation.
The two images below show off the two PCIe cables. Each is sheathed from end to end, finished with shrink tubing, and the red connectors are well labeled so you know what they are for.
Below we see the cables for connecting your drives. Every "termination" features a standard 4-pin Molex connector and a SATA connector, which is a design
Enermax calls Eternity Connectors. Each of these two cables features two 4-pin connectors and two SATA connectors.
Below we have another pair of drive cables, which are slightly different than the previous set. These also feature the Eternity Connectors, but at the very end of each cable we also have a floppy drive power connector. From the four drive cables provided, you should be in good shape for connecting plenty of drives (and/or fans).
Below we have a look at a few of the non-modular cables. The 20/24-pin motherboard lead, the auxiliary power lead, and the 3-pin lead for fan speed sensing.
Taking a closer look at the motherboard and auxiliary power leads, we see an interesting approach to making the connections interchangeable. Small plastic clips allow for the motherboard connection to quickly be transformed from 24-pin to 20-pin, while the auxiliary connection can just as easily go from one 8-pin to two 4-pin connectors.
