You can pickup a decent used one down here for $600 or so..I dickered the price on mine down to $575 although it is somewhat used. New ones can go for $700-$900 unless you're a Colt fan which almosts doubles the price.....

I'm thinking of building one from the ground up from an 80% receiver. Then applying for the NFA Short Barreled Rifle tax stamp. My PA LTCF covers sawed off shotguns and SBR's as well as handguns.

Sounds like a plan; I'm not that far along that I would feel comfortable building my own firearm though.. BTW, I also picked this up last week....

Apparently Florida doesn't have laws against the criminally insane owning firearms... good to know.

Have you picked up some more magazines for that carbine yet?

Just remember... You cant carry too enough ammo these days... the only two times you dont want that much is when you're trying to swim or when you're on fire.

I have 2 x 30 round mags right now; we have a gun show coming up in January where I'm hoping to pick up a few more along with a 100 round drum such as this:
