Is the scope secure? firmly attached?

You shooting off-hand or with a rest?

The scope is solid; it was checked at the end of the day and it was still at zero. I did combinations of off-hand and using sandbags with using a rest as the best for getting tighter groups. It's been over 30 years since I fired any type of long gun so I'm basically starting over as far as technique is concerned.

Okie dokies... just had to ask...

Yeah, I do know how picking up a certain firearm after a long period is .. My muzzleloader (smoothbore musket) takes several shots to get on paper 3'x3' paper after a year of not shooting it.
