The basic on/off functionality of the ZEN06 should be available with just about any Z-Wave controller, but to get more out of the device you will need one of the controllers listed in the right column of the product page at The Smartest House.

One of the supported controllers is the Fibaro HCL (Home Center Lite), which will be covered in a review at Bigbruin.com very soon. With a controller like this, you can not only have the on/off state controlled and associated with scenes, you can also get electrical data from the device into the app. Pairing with the Fibaro HCL was easy, and after it was all set up and I had chosen a custom icon for it, we have the tab shown in the below left screenshot. I was controlling the same 9W LED lamp mentioned on the previous page, and in this screenshot the lamp was off and therefore drawing 0.0W, as indicated. Using the app to toggle the lamp on, the icon changes and immediately it reports power consumption of 9.33W (as shown in the middle screenshot). Separated to a different tab than the plug on/off toggle, the plug can also provide details on the Voltage and Amperage, as shown in the below right screenshot. You can use this information for real time monitoring, or for logging usage, and this is all dependant on your controller and needs.



As mentioned, it will pair with the Wink Hub, but this is not listed as a supported controller and will not give you all the features that a more powerful controller will. The ZEN06 paired up with the Wink Hub easily enough, and you can customize the appearance of the icon and name of the plug as shown in the below left screenshot. Note that Wink does not know the make or model of this plug, but at least it knows what to do with it. With the setup complete, the Zooz ZEN06 was added to my panel of other lights in Wink, and the toggle functioned just fine for turning it on and off, and indicating its present state within the app.



With Wink you will not get information on Watts, Volts, or Amps, but the colored ring of light around the plug will still function.
