Conclusion:
The
XCM Xbox 360 Diamond clear case and controller set is a great way to distinguish your Xbox 360 from the rest of the pack, however it does come at a cost. The plastic case is nowhere near as sturdy as the original Microsoft produced case. Once the XCM case was installed, I actually found myself nervous when handling my Xbox 360.
There is also the issue that this case was not designed to allow for access to both the HDMI and HDTV connections. This second issue has even more of a negative impact as the newer Xbox 360 consoles offer both connections.

I did like the clear controller mod, as even after everything was said and done, it not only looked great but felt very solid. With a little time and effort I was able to change the look of my Xbox 360 and controller. The key is time and effort; while the process is nothing I would call extremely difficult, it does take a bit of effort and understanding.
Xoxide offers this Xbox 360 Diamond clear case and controller set for
$69.99, and presently has this product in stock. I was able to find the same kit at a handful of other online stores for as little as $42.95, although many were listed as out of stock. A few places did have inventory on this item though, and the best price seemed to be about $49.95, which is quite a savings.
With all these things in mind I can not recommend the XCM Xbox 360 Diamond clear case and controller set. Even if you have an older Xbox 360 and you are looking to change it up a bit, I don't feel the fragile shell is worth the new look.
