Beyond the wireless capabilities, this device also packs a lot of juice. Quoted run times are 14 hours and with a 5200mAh battery inside with 2A charging capability you can charge most phones twice and give a full charge to many tablets. Using the charging mode I was able to add ~15% charge in 30 minutes which is a little faster than my dedicated charger.

Additional features are SAMBA and DLNA file shares. These are easily enabled via the app in the Advanced Settings tab. Here you can go into either one and turn them on. Doing this I was able to share the files on the device with other devices on the network like a WD TV Live. But one warning; make sure you disable the file sharing features if you use this on an open network. Leaving the SAMBA server enabled while using the wired connection means anyone has access to your attached devices.



Overall I was very impressed with the app. It was clean, clear and just functioned very well. The start screen gives you one click access to Videos, Photos, Music, or Documents. On occasion the loading of this file info was a little slow but I can’t be sure that wasn’t something to do with my Android device. You also have one click access to the browse the file structure of the attached device.



Once you have made your selection, you can easily sort the files by name, date, or type - plus you can create a new folder. If you opt to copy or move files there is also a handy Status tab that allows you to confirm when this is completed.



Selecting the Videos will bring up a list of all the video files on the SD or USB device. This is just a list format, but like above you can sort this if you choose. Once you find the file you want, you simply select it and you will see the Complete action using splash screen. Here you can choose your player and set it to be the default, too. Video playback started quick and played smoothly.



Likewise the Photos tab allows you to browse your pictures on the SD or USB. My only real complaint with this was I can’t change the view. So it is always in list format, so if you are searching for a picture there may be several swipes to scroll to the one of your choosing.
