Packaging and Accessories:
The W4000+ (and the W4000 I would assume) are sold in the colorful box shown below. The bold text indicates that the W4000 is found inside, but you do get a good look at what the server looks like regardless of which model was selected.
The below left image shows one side panel of the box, which provides a list of features for the server, as well as a shot of two people who seem far too enthused about a NAS server. I like NAS servers, but apparently not as much as some people! The below right image shows a list of product specifications and features, and since it references 2GB of memory you might again be confused in to thinking this is the W4000 and not the W4000+. But if you glance down toward the bottom of this image you will see a W4000+ sticker, which I assume over rides any of the W4000 related information.
Inside the box you will first see a smaller brown box of accessories, under which you will find the Thecus server. As you might expect, it is wrapped in plastic and well padded in a foam frame in order to keep it well protected.
The image below shows all of the accessories included in the box. Clockwise from the upper left we have a warranty card, an Ethernet cable, a bag of screws for mounting drives and keys for locking the bay doors, an AC power cord, an AC/DC power brick, and the installation guide. You pretty much have everything you will need, minus some hard drives. While having one network cable makes sure you can use it right out of the box, it would be nice to have two network cables since we will see that it has two Gigabit network ports.
