Conclusion:
Thermaltake has an incredible cooler on their hands. The Frio is designed to cool all modern processors, even while overclocked, and it should do so very well. Installation is a breeze, and everything that is required is included in the box. Thermaltake even includes a second 120mm fan in the box, so if you want the additional cooling that a push-pull configuration can provide, you don't have to purchase anything else.
There are only a few downsides to the Frio. The first is the size - depending on the motherboard and/or case used there might be things that could interfere with the installation. Next is the fans - they are fairly loud if they are run at full speed. Quieter fans would be nice, but that does generally mean lower air flow. Finally the power leads and fan speed controllers - either provide more cord for the fan controller or make the fans controllable by an external controller (even an expansion slot controller would be better).
The Thermaltake Frio has a price tag of around $60 at popular online retailers like
Newegg.com, and it may be hard to beat the performance and style of the Frio for this price.
I have no hesitation recommending the Frio to people looking for a good high quality cooler, and in the end it earns the Bigbruin.com "Gaming Approved" and "Highly Recommended" awards.
