Conclusion:
Everything about the Tri-Specs Zeiss Lens Bluetooth Sunglasses w/Built-in MP3 is high quality, especially the SOLA Sunless lenses by Carl Zeiss. However, they do so much more than just protect your eyes from UV rays. The integration of Bluetooth allows them to be used for phone calls and streaming music. They do this very well thanks to their design and noise cancellation technology, and all the while allow you to look pretty cool, too.
The biggest problem I had with the Tri-Specs sunglasses was with the connection to the Motorola Droid. I attempted to contact Tri-Specs using the only email address available (info@trispecs.com) and received no reply; the email was sent three different times asking if they knew of any issues. Make sure you are aware of the return policy should you purchase these glasses and wind up with a compatibility problem. Another point that may be more of a wish list item is that the Tri-Specs come with a soft carry case. Considering the investment for these sunglasses, I'd prefer to have a hard case.
If you were to buy these sunglasses directly from the Tri-Specs
online store , the price would be about $200 and up! However,
Geeks.com has the set covered in this review for
$109.99. Not a bad price, but if you wanted to get under the $100 barrier they offer a couple other options of Tri-Specs glasses for even less. There is this
white pair for $79.99 and this
black pair for $89.99.
If the Tri-Specs Bluetooth sunglasses meet your personal style, I can easily recommend them. They sound great, have good noise cancellation, and are extremely comfortable. That said, they earn the bigbruin.com "Recommended" award.
