One of the biggest movements over the last 30 years has been environmentalism. When it comes to conservation, I'm all about saving a few bucks. Whether it's buying a fuel efficient car, Energy Star rated appliances, or just turning off the lights when I leave a room - if it lowers my bottom line, I'm all for it. TrickleStar is a company that's sole mission is reducing energy consumption and their product line reflects that philosophy.

TrickleStar offers two main energy saving products: The PC TrickleSaver and the TV TrickleSaver. The TV TrickleSaver is designed to work with DVD players, game consoles, cable/satellite boxes, etc, while the PC version is designed to work with printers, scanners, on other computer related items.

Today on the Bigbruin.com test bench we have the TrickleStar PC TrickleSaver. The concept is pretty straight forward... Plug the unit into the wall, attach a power strip, plug "stuff" into the strip, and attach the USB cable to your PC or Mac. When you turn you computer off, the "stuff" doesn't consume any electricity. Seems simple enough. In this review we will see how the PC TrickleSaver stands up to TrickleStar's claims.

Before we take a closer look at the PC TrickleSaver, let's take a look at some information about the product, the company, and their philosophy (as taken from the TrickleStar website).
