Packaging and Accessories:
The
Thecus N2310 arrived in a plain cardboard box, with this retail style box found tucked inside. The front of the box provides a picture of the unit inside, as well as a listing of four key features.
The back of the box (below left image) provides details on some of the specifications and performance related details. While the listing of features and specifications found on the previous page did not include any information on expected read and write speeds, here we see that Thecus rates the N2310 for 100MB/s read and 80MB/s write. The below right image shows one of the box's other panels where we get a pictorial representation of six functions the device can provide for you.
Opening the top of the box (below left image) reveals a "Quick Installation Guide for the N2310". Following these three steps should have your Thecus NAS up and running in no time. The below right image shows the box of accessories found just below this installaion guide. Everything you need to install the N2310 is found in this box - that is, everything except a pair of hard drives.
The below left image shows everything found in the accessory box. There is a warranty card, various screws for installing hard drives, a CAT5e network cable, a disk with information and installation software, and a two part AC/DC power adapter. Under the installation guide and the box of accessories we finally get to the N2310 NAS server. As senn in the below right image, the device is wrapped in a plastic bag and secured in a form fitting foam frame which should do well to protect it while in transit.
