For comparison purposes, the Crucial Ballistix Smart Tracer 6GB (3x2GB) PC3-12800 kit was pitted against some memory we have seen on the bench previously:

Windows 7 Experience:

For this comparison we will look at the memory portion of the results available from the benchmark found in the Windows 7 Control Panel. The unit-less values have a maximum of 7.9, and higher is better. At stock speed, the Crucial sticks are the fastest, but overclocked we lose one-tenth of a point bringing them on par with the lower CAS timings of the OCZ Technology Platinum kit.
