Internal Inspection (continued):
The back of the case has seven expansion slots. Each of these has a cover that is perforated for better airflow and a tool-less closure device. What is hard to tell from the image is that the covers aren't really covers, they are actually stamped inserts that are attached to the case frame. The inserts must be pried out in order to add cards and can't be reused later - hence the inclusion of a slot cover with the accessories. Sadly it is a plain metal one with no perforations, so adding it kind of ruins the theme Sentey has going here.
Back to the front, you see the hard drive storage area and the front intake fan on the bottom. Directly above that is the 3.5 inch drive bay. You can also make out the lower 120mm fan cut-out we mentioned earlier.
The hard drive caddies used on the BX1-4284 are a stamped aluminum tray with red plastic side rails. The side rails also function as hard drive mounting brackets negating the need for mounting screws and adding to the overall tool-less design.
The rails swing out easily as you can see with the standard 3.5 inch drive below. What is also nice, is that Sentey has punched out 4 holes in the bottom of the tray to allow for the installation of 2.5 inch solid state drives. Of course, you'll need to use a few of the included screws to mount them.
