Packaging:

The Sentey Black Box series case arrived in exactly the kind of packaging you'd expect from a "premium brand" case. The box is glossy, has numerous eye-catching images of the actual case, the model number is lcearly displayed, and a large company logo can be found in the lower right corner. The back of the box is just as informative and has more detailed images of the key features of the case along with pictures of just about everything you could have a question about.



Once you open the lid, you are immediately greeted by the faceplate and a prominently placed Sentey logo. Also notice that Sentey has taken the time to wrap the case in a heavy duty polyethylene bag encased in sturdy foam blocks to ensure it arrives safe and sound.



External Examination:

Out of the box the first thing you notice is that the paint on the case is very shiny. Even though it has an automobile-like polish to it, the paint is textured ever so slightly so that fingerprints don't really show. At 14 pounds, the BX1-4284 also isn't overly heavy. When we finished adding all of the components for testing, it was still light enough that it could easily be carried to a LAN party.



The right side of the case has two external 120mm fans that sport blue LEDs. Turning the case around reveals a cutout for a bottom-mounted power supply, seven tool-less clips for expansion cards, a couple of punch-outs for water cooling, and another 120mm exhaust fan. Another nice touch is the plastic coated thumbscrews used to secure the side panels - a feature you'd find in higher-end cases.
