Packaging and Accessories:
The
Seek Thermal CompactPro is sold in the very attractively designed package shown below. The front of the box shows a picture of the device (larger than actual size) and confirms that I have received the Android version. The main difference between versions would obviously be that an Android device needs a USB connector, while an iPhone device needs a Lightning connector. The back of the box provides six bullet points on the CompactPro; including the resolution, viewing angle, distance, temperature range, that it works day or night, and that it includes a waterproof case.
Inside the box, we find the CompactPro and it's waterproof case nestled into a molded plastic tray. For what I consider to be a sensitive electronics device I was expecting more protection for the CompactPro, but I am definitely not an expert in that field and it arrived in perfect condition.
Besides the CompactPro and the case, the only other item in the box is a "Welcome Guide" intended to get you up and running with any of the devices in the Compact series of thermal imagers.

We will look at the thermal imager in more detail on the next page, but first we have a few pictures of its waterproof case. The translucent plastic shell is tinted, and is perfectly contoured to the shape of the CompactPro. Inside, a foam insert will hold the CompactPro in place, while a locking clamp will hold the lid tightly shut in order to keep it safe and dry. There is a loop for a key ring on one side, making it easy to keep with you whether you decide to put it on a key ring, in your briefcase, or in your tool box.
