Testing (continued):
CrystalDiskMark 3.0 x64:
The third benchmark we will look at today is CrystalDiskMark. For our testing purposes, we will be running the test using 100MB files and doing the full 5 passes. The first two graphs below deal with sequential reads and sequential writes. The read data shows that all three drives return very similar results with the Seagate GoFlex finishing with a slight advantage.
In the write graph, all three drive finished within 80k of each other - again with the Seagate device finishing first by the narrowest of margins.
The next portion of the Crystal benchmark deals with evaluating reads and writes using 512k blocks. In the graph below we see the read results. Once again, all three drives are within a few hundred kilobytes of each other, with the GoFlex finishing on top.
For the write results, the Western Digital surprisingly finishes with the highest bandwidth numbers here and the Toshiba finishes last.
