Passmark Performance Test:

Passmark Performance Test 8.0 has many benchmarks built into it, evaluating everything as a whole and providing individual tests for specific componets. We will be taking a look at the scores it provides for the individual disks in the system.

The overall Diskmark score the Momentus XT has a slightly better score then the 3.5" Seagate 1TB drive, but significantly better than the 2.5" Seagate 250GB drive. As expected, it has a much lower score then the SSDs.



Between the 2.5" Seagate and 3.5" Seagate scores is the Momentus XT.



As expected the Seagate Momentus XT scored slightly below the 3.5" Seagate drive, but above the comparable 2.5" Seagate Momentus.



The Random Seek test results shouldn't be any surprise.



As with the previous test, Passmark Performance Test 8.0 did not appear to cache itself as the scores remained between the 2.5" Seagate the 3.5" Seagate drives. However, it did not come close to the performance of the SSDs.
