Testing (continued):
Resident Evil 5 (DirectX 10):
Resident Evil's DirectX 10 benchmark was executed with a resolution of 1680x1050, 8x Anti-Aliasing, and with settings on high. The benchmark provides results in terms of an average frame rate value, and higher is better. The single HD5850 gets beat out by the CrossFire pair of HD5750 cards, but sees a 48% boost when put into CrossFire itself.
Company of Heroes (DirectX 10):
With a resolution of 1680x1050, 8x Anti-Aliasing, and with high settings, the benchmark included with Company of Heroes - Opposing Fronts was executed on the cards. The benchmark provides results in terms of a minimum, maximum, and average frame rate value, and higher is better for all three. In DirectX 10 mode it seems impossible to score anything outside of the neighborhood of 60 fps maximum, and I guess I'll just stop running this test after this review.
