Packaging and Accessories:
The
Sapphire Radeon HD4770 512MB graphics card comes packed in the compact box shown in the images below. For those concerned about going green, it is nice to see that the type and quantity of packaging material used has been greatly reduced as compared to what you might have received even just a year ago.
The front and back of the box feature not one, but two warrior princess type characters. Perhaps they have determined that this type of imagery is what actually sells graphics cards so they have doubled up on them and included zero images of the actual product. Even though you don't get to see the card, you do get fairly detailed information on the features and specifications, so hopefully you will know what you are getting anyway.
Inside the box, the components are held in place by a simple cardboard frame. The graphics card is found inside a bubble wrap bag with a large sticker on it that reminds you to wire up the PCI Express power connection before powering up your system.
The accessories included with this card are on the light side, but you do get the basics to get up and running. The below left image shows a TV-out to Component video adapter, a DVI to VGA adapter, a DVI to HDMI adapter, a CrossFire bridge, and a 4-pin Molex to 6-pin PCI Express power adapter. The below right image shows the user's manual, driver/software CD, and copies of CyberLink's PowerDVD and DVD Suite.
