Conclusion:
The
Rosewill Ranger has all the basic features necessary to make for a good mid-tower case at a reasonable price. However, it does offer other features you might not expect on a case like this which only improve its value. These features include support for multiple fans, a nearly tool-less design, front panel USB 3.0 support, 2.5" hard drive support, cable management enhancements, and a custom red interior. With the solid build quality, the flawless finish, and the custom red interior, the Rosewill Ranger case is definitely an interesting new option for those shopping for a computer case.
On the downside, the main thing is that the cooling could be a little better. It wasn't terrible, but the CPU did get 4 degrees warmer than it did in two other mid-tower cases. One other area of concern is that the motherboard tray is a bit lower than the openings for cable management found right next to it. While it did not restrict the use of the SATA connections, it was a tight fit, and other motherboards with different configurations may fit differently.
For what the the Rosewill Ranger offers it is a budget friendly case.
Newegg.com has it for $69.99; while
Amazon.com has it for $79.99. There are many low cost choices in this general range, and while any case can house your system, the Rosewill Ranger has features to really make it look like you spent a bit more on the case than you actually have to.
For all that it has to offer, and for being a good value, the Rosewill Ranger mid-tower case earns the Bigbruin.com "Recommended" and "Good Value" awards.
